  16. Hi Amber, Would love for you to sign my Buffy box, your book or any other something I have for you to sign. I would be extremely happy with even seeing you up close and personal. Or even from a distance.. BUT alas, I live in The Netherlands, the trip over there would be a little bit long.

  17. Love that time of the year when the new Amber Benson book is finally released ! I just can't wait !
And I second the proposition of an european book tour from your Belgian fan. Seeing you in France would be a dream come true ^_^

  21. I would love to come, but it's a little bit to far (and expensive) for me. I third the proposition for a European book tour! Any chance of that? Can I bribe you with 'Stroopwafels'? ;-) (Hope you liked them the last time). I'm looking forward to your new book and I'll get it as soon as it's available in The Netherlands :P. Have fun on your tour!

  22. Living in Pennsylvania, New York's probably the only one I can feasibly reach and unless its in the evening, it probably means taking two days off work and staying at a hotel.

In other words, I'm considering it.

  23. I've thought about the idea of fans raising money to help pay for such things as book tours. The problem is Amber still wouldn't be able to go everywhere everyone wants her to be and she'd probably exhaust herself trying.

I'm hoping web-cast Q and A's are in the plans at some point even as I torment myself by looking up trains and hotels for New York.

  24. To be honest, I watched every videos of Amber's books signing and conventions I could find on Youtube. So , I hope there will be more of them every year...until I can finally met her in person ^_^

  26. Finally heard about your new webseries (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy meets Red Dwarf meets Firefly? Interesting...and not in the Chinese curse sense); I'm sure it will be fabulous, amazing and silly...no doubt in various combinations of the above, and not necessarily in order of importance.
The frustrated writer in me immediately had me imagining scenes for the show. THESE ARE JUST FOR YOUR AMUSEMENT, I'm not trying to wangle a job...
(On the assumption that aliens will be a part of the "Marie's" universe: a large, purple one-eyed creature whose identity will be soon apparent, especially if you're familiar with certain novelty songs, approaches Marie about what he'd like to order)
CREATURE: Excuse me, but are humans kosher?
MARIE: Um, human cultures have any number of dietary laws .
    CREATURE:...That's not what I meant.
(For the record, humans taste like pork...WHICH IS SOMETHING I READ ABOUT. The cannibals of New Guinea refer to their favourite meal as "long pig." So, the jury is still out. The conversation may continue later with:)
CREATURE: Excuse me again, but do you have any cultural taboos against breading and deep-frying your own species?
(Marie doesn't answer, but she does send a deadly glare at another character who really screwed up her day. He or she can only squirm in his or her seat...)
I had something about non-terrestrial dress codes (no, Marie would not have to follow them. Probably), but I get the feeling you'd slap me silly.
    Happy New Year.
