And so it has begun...

I promised myself at the end of last year that I wouldn't get in over my head. That I would take the time to enjoy life, while also cloistering myself away - no, I'm not getting myself to a nunnery. I was speaking figuratively, though maybe a nunnery isn't such a bad idea. Hmmm...

Let me start again:

I was going to enjoy life...yada, yada, clositer, yada, yada...while actually trying to do some good writing work in the process.

HA!

Remember that old joke: How do you give God a good case of the giggles? Make plans.

Yup, once again, I have bitten off more than I should chew. It seems that I am going to be tooling around in book-signing land like an itinerant fop - but stylish only in my head - for the next few months. And since I've decided to prostitute myself to the road, I figure you should come and experience the spectacle with me, if you're able.

So, here are the dates of the debauchery. Please, come and get depraved!

Also, the audiobooks of the 1st three Calliope Reaper-Jones books should be available starting on 2/22 with yours truly supplying the voice. So, check'em out!

  11. Yeah, I've noticed that the PtB like disrupting all of my plans - so I've decide "better to just jump". Stopped making plans - started just doing.

    You should come to Reno, NV. XD lol... But there's really nothing here, other than me, to come here for. j/k j/k About the me part. The 'this place sucks' part is all truth.

    Just remember to breathe along the way, and take plenty of pictures - not of things but of moments, because it's the moments that matter... and I'll make sure to get my ma the audiobooks. She can't read anymore - her eye sight's going- but she can listen and it's better to listen to art than television.

    Don't be so hard on yourself! It must be tough being on the road a lot but look at it this way think of all the fans who can't wait to see you! :) So you're doing it to sell books and make some money that's not a bad thing! It just gives you a little freedom to work on what you want and get some R&R in the future. No fan would begrudge you that believe me!

    Okay so I'm being selfish just looking at fan's point when what you were say have time write and enjoy life if you weren't trying to sell books! I kind of missed the point with my first paragraph well let me just finish by saying thank you for all your hard work it has brought me a lot of joy! For every annoying fan you meet like me there are some nice ones too have fun!

    PS I can't wait to listen to the audio books!

  15. Still waiting for Cleveland... lol. You mentioned wanting to see more of it on your crazy crossroads trip. =) By the way, Cleveland's "Little Italy" is BETTER than NYC's. Primavera's is the place to go in Cleveland's Little Italy. Besides, it's only a 45 minute drive to the Pro Football Hall of Fame; Drag Adam's dad along. I'll give him the tour.

    As a comic book lover, I'm also happy that 2 previous comics of Amber will be published again.
    Her "Tales of the Slayer" story will be republished at the end of January in the Dark Horse TPB "Buffy The Vampire Slayer : Tales". I already read it (and I love that the story takes place in France) but I will buy it anyway.
    But I never read "Demon Father John's Pinwheel Blues" drawn by Ben Templesmith, so I will buy the IDW Trade paperback "Blood Stained Sword" released in April where the story is reprinted.
    A new book, old comics reprinted for the first time...another great year for Amber fans :)

  28. Haha, here everyone is name-dropping their cities, and I'd say "Come to Maine!" but we don't really have any. We call Portland a city, and I can guarantee that most of its 130,000 people are exceptionally nerdy, if that helps! :) Have fun, and thank you for continuing to put out such great work; it's nice to have something to look forward to :)

    Well try to take it one day at a time so that it doesn't affect your health. Hopefully you will be coming to Miami or close to us. I would love to finally be able to meet you. But even though you might have bitten off more than you can chew..you will have fun and take your trips as learning experiences.
