Getting a Signed Copy of Death's Daughter - Even If You Live In Timbuktu

Okay, I've been getting loads of requests from people all over the world asking me how to get a signed copy of Death's Daughter.

Here is what I think on the subject:

I will be signing at Mysterious Galaxy book store in San Diego on March 7th. If you order the book through them (and specify that you want it personalized), I will sign it for you while I am at their store and they will ship it to you.

IF you miss the above signing date:

I will be signing at Dark Delicacies book store in Los Angeles on March 21st. If you order the book through them (and specify that you want it personalized), I will sign it for you while I am at their store and they will ship it to you.

How does that sound all you folks in Timbuktu (or Arizona or Australia or Antwerp)?

  2. YAY...you're going to be in San Diego! I was going to drive up to LA to get to meet you but you're going to be right in my home town. What's your favorite candy? I always bring something with me for awesome people.

  4. bugger. would get it from there. but it's going to cost me $25 (which I'm assuming is USD) in postage. and with the way the exchange rate is at the moment, it'd almost be cheaper for me to fly to the states from here in Aus to buy it and get you to sign it :( this makes me sad :( :(

  5. We can have signed books shipped to Antwerp?

And you tell us after the poor fans from Amsterdam and Lille (note that Antwerp is kinda in the middle between those cities) have arranged for Air France to fly them to Los Angeles? *tries to cancel the tickets*

(Just kidding of course, I desperately need another vacation in LA; ten days of sun :D none-freezing-temeratures :D none-grey skies... yay :D)

  7. Hmm. I wonder if I can get some worthy donor to pay for this. A signed copy would be great to auction off at our Can't Stop The Serenity Screening in June.

  8. How exactly do I "specify that I want it personalized"?? Just put it in comment box, or do I have to write them??

  9. You have to write them. But they are very nice and will not bite you. Promise. :)

  11. Amber,
This is just the sort of big-hearted example of why you have the best fans.
You do as much to connect with us in a very symbiotic way as we enjoy your various forms of story-telling.

  13. For any Australians out there ordering a signed copy from Mysterious Galaxy will set you back about $56 included postage once converted in to Aussie$$$. On eBay there is a seller that has 2 copy's left not signed but is cheaper $24.90 Aussie bucks that's included postage or you could order the ebook version which cuts out postage and ends up around $14 once converted give or take a buck. Me I figured I would give my credit card a work out and get my signed copy which I just finished ordering :)

  16. I already ordered my "normal" copy through Amazon a long time ago. But for this occasion I pulled out my credit card and ordered myself two extra copies (ok, only one for me, I already have 4 copies of Accursed, so do not want to over-do it now, hihi)! Of course I do hope to get the amazon copy signed as well one day, but not by mail, but in person.

Thanks for this great possibility! You rock!

Wow thank you Amber you’ve made my day I’m off to order my signed copy now! the prospect of an other week at work less depressing it would be great if you could find the time to visit to the UK soon so I could get a copy signed in person. In the meantime I'll go back to reading my non-signed copy of Death’s Daughter. :-)

  18. Hello Ms. Amber-
Do you know about The Signed Page? http://www.signedpage.com/ It looks like a low-maintenance way to get signed books to fans, and might even be easier than bookstores... =)

  21. Aw, man! I didn't write in to specify that I wanted the copy personalized; I wrote it in the comment box. DUH! I hope it's not too late! I'll be upset. So upset.

  22. I wish I ahd thought about getting the book through a store, although I didn't know if they would ship to the UK. Anyway, I'm not too down as it looks like I'll get a chance to get my copy autogrsaphed and eprsonalised in August in Glasgow (technically Paisley).

Meeting you is always a treat (as it was the day of my 35th birthday when I last got to meet you) because you go out of your way to make people feel welcome. And as I am quite a shy and nervous person it helps put me at ease. Plus its given me something to look forward to which right now is a really good thing :)
